Pensacola Sound Chorus is looking for a musical director.
Our chorus members have shared a marvelous musical journey for fifteen years and we are optimistic about our future. We have a “can do” attitude and believe in possibilities. We are governed by an ambitious management team and our chorus consists of approximately twenty auditioned female dedicated vocalists who practice “Real Women, Real Fun, Real Harmony!” We currently have interim co-directors and we are in the process of searching for one front-line director. With an existing chorus and the recent nation-wide resurgence of a cappella music, this might be just the opportunity you’ve been looking for to enrich your own musical experience. “
Profile of Pensacola Sound Chorus
Pensacola Sound chorus, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, has members who vary in age from young adult to retirees. Our collective barbershop experience ranges from brand new members to those with 30+ years of singing and producing overtones in the barbershop art form.
We know how to work hard, and how to have fun doing it. The friendships that have developed over the years are evident in the teamwork we display in our quest for excellence.
Our form of government is a Management Team model. We have a hardworking Music Team, with directors, section leaders and choreographers, as well as an ongoing Section Leader Training Program. Several of our members are enrolled in the Director Certification Program.

The current rehearsal site is 600 Pickens Ave., Heights Baptist Church, two blocks behind Georgio’s Pizza on Cervantes Street. Registration begins Tuesdays at 6:15 PM.
