ACTIVITIES
Starting Tuesday, July 2, 2008 the chorus will begin a program entitled “Performance Opportunity”. We want to offer a healthy, stress-free diversion in a NO-cost, NO-obligation musical program for local female singers of all ages. Guests are invited to attend Tuesday night open rehearsals. There are no auditions and there is no requirement to read sheet music, but it is necessary to be able to carry a tune. Guests will attend weekly rehearsals and learn four songs in four-part a cappella harmony, along with regular chorus members. Sheet music and learning CD’s are made available to accelerate the learning curve. The program culminates with the opportunity to perform with the chorus on October 23rd as the chorus puts on an hour-long show in Gulf Shores.
The current rehearsal site is 600 Pickens Ave., Heights Baptist Church, two blocks behind Georgio’s Pizza on Cervantes Street. Registration begins July 2, 2008 at 6:00 PM.
